Lonsdale Road – Refurbishment

This wonderfully located flat had been rented out on short-term lets years with guests generally staying a couple of nights.  The landlord was keen to start a rolling upgrade programme of works and turn it into a long-term rental.

Stage 1 was to rewire throughout including external lighting in the rear garden, and change the rear windows and french doors onto the patio garden which was smartened up.  The rather dated reception area with an open tread staircase was changed for a more traditional style with underneath storage and a built-in shelving unit disguising the supporting beam for the bloc staircase. The flat was redecorated with new window coverings, replacement internal doors and new carpets on the stairs and upper floor.

Stage 2 is in the pipeline and will involve a replacement kitchen and stage 3 is a new bathroom, combi boiler and upper floor alteration to allow a large wardrobe in the front bedroom.

After the initial works, Chambré left the property to a lovely couple and manage the property for the overseas landlord.
